TIAS - The Integrated Approval System Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information.

Information We Collect

Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. Our purpose in collecting personal information is to enable you to use The Integrated Approval System (hereafter referred to as “TIAS”, “we”, “our” or “us”). We only collect personal information that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose. Under some circumstances, we may require additional information, such as but not limited to identification, location, demographic, industry and/or credit card information to verify the accuracy of your name, address, and/or process the payment of fees for your use of our services. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may collect and store this information into a file specific to you.

Our Use of Your Information

We use your personal information to facilitate the services you request. We use and maintain personal information and information we obtain from your current and past activities on TIAS to: inform you about our services and updates; to process applicable fee payments; to detect and protect against error, fraud and other criminal activity; to enforce our Terms and Conditions; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection, use or disclosure.

Our Disclosure of Your Information

As a matter of policy, we do not sell or rent any of your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We do use third parties that we refer to as “necessary service providers” to facilitate our business and service operations and therefore may need to provide some of your personal information directly to these necessary service providers. These necessary service providers are only able to use your information to facilitate the services provided by TIAS.

TIAS cooperates with law enforcement inquires, as well as other third parties to enforce laws such as: intellectual property rights, fraud and other rights, to help protect you, the people and organizations that you do business with and TIAS itself. Therefore, in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government official relating to a criminal investigation &/or alleged illegal activity, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your name, city, province, telephone number, email address, user and transaction history without a court order. However, in an effort to balance your rights, we will not disclose additional information to law enforcement or other government officials without a court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when the additional disclosure of information is necessary to prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss.

Reviewing and Changing Your Information

We offer you the ability to automatically review and change the personal information you submit by logging into TIAS and entering the new information yourself. You can change your password, email address and contact information by going to your Profile. You must promptly update your information if it changes or is inaccurate. The change of information will not alter the historical information recorded in the application.

You may write to request us to remove your personal information however we will retain basic information in order to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms and Conditions and comply with legal requirements as is permitted by law. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personal information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your request. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Other Information Collectors

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties that use TIAS, or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. Since TIAS does not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party.

Security

Your information is stored and processed on computers located in North America. TIAS uses procedural and technical safeguards to protect your personal information against loss or theft, as well as against unauthorized access or disclosure, to protect your privacy, including firewalls and encryption. We employ different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, you will agree that perfect security is not available on the Internet.
